BOSTON, AUGUST 05, 2019 - MachineShop, the Edge Computing Company, today announced the appointment of Michael Bauer as Chief Product Officer. Bauer joins MachineShop with over 30 years of product management, marketing, go-to-market and operational experience and will drive MachineShop’s product management and marketing organizations. Prior to MachineShop, Bauer was a founder and Chief Operating Officer/Chief Product Officer of Innovu, a big data analytics software and services company serving the human capital risk management market. Bauer also has experience in the embedded Linux market, which is a key technology in many connected product solutions.
With billions of additional smart, connected products coming online over the next few years, high volume device management and orchestration will be paramount to realize the promised value these devices bring to companies world-wide. Bauer brings to MachineShop a broad product background that spans customer and partner solutions in big data analytics, IT infrastructure management, data/telecommunications, enterprise software, and embedded systems industries. In this newly created role, Bauer will drive and accelerate the execution of the company’s product, marketing, and go-to-market strategy.
